At a glance

The short version.

A plain summary. The full text below is what applies.

01

Holders may use their credential

While it is active, you may show your credential name and badge, unaltered.

02

No implied endorsement

Do not suggest IICTP endorses a person, product, course or company it does not.

03

Partners need an agreement

Training partners use the marks under their licence, not under this page.

04

Ask before you adapt

Anything not listed here needs written permission.

01Our marks#

IICTP’s names, marks and badges are valuable because they stand for an independent standard. The table lists those in use. Registration status varies by country, and each mark is shown with the symbol that fits how it is used.

IICTP marks
MarkWhat it identifies
IICTPThe organisation and its insignia
TPBOK™The Technical Practitioner Body of Knowledge
ATP®, CTP®, PgTP®, PfTP®The four core credentials, from foundations to portfolio strategy
AIP, CAP, ADP, IESP, LLMP, CSTPThe six specialized credentials
IICTP digital badgeThe verifiable online badge issued with a credential
Authorized Training Partner, Certified IICTP InstructorPartner and instructor designations, given under licence

02If you hold a credential#

While your credential is active, you may:

  • state it on a CV, profile, email signature, business card or website;
  • show the digital badge, unaltered, linked to your registry record where you can;
  • use the post-nominal after your name, for example “Jane Doe, CTP®”.

Writing it correctly

  • Use the exact credential name and the mark as shown, such as Certified Technical Practitioner (CTP®).
  • State the credential you hold, not a different one. A specialized credential does not make you a holder of a core credential.
  • Stop using the post-nominal when the credential has expired, lapsed or been withdrawn, unless you add that it is lapsed and the dates.

03Do and do not#

Do and do not
DoDo not
Show the badge at its original proportions and coloursStretch, recolour, crop, animate or add effects to a mark or badge

Use plain text names if you cannot show the markUse IICTP marks in your own company or product name, logo or domain

04Training partners and employers#

Authorized Training Partners

Premier and Registered Authorized Training Partners use the marks under their licence agreement, which sets the rules for their listing, materials and claims. This page does not give or widen that licence. See Authorized Training Partners.

Employers and organisations

You may say that your staff hold IICTP credentials, and show the credential names and badges for people who have agreed. You may not use the marks to suggest an organisation-wide accreditation IICTP has not granted.

05Press, writers and educators#

You may name IICTP and its credentials in news, commentary, research and teaching, and quote short extracts with credit. Please use the names as written above, and link to the relevant page. For images, logos or interviews, write to brand@iictp.org.

06The TPBOK™ and other content#

The TPBOK™, exam content and the site’s text and design are protected content. You may cite and link to them. Reproducing or adapting them beyond fair quotation needs written permission, as the Terms and Conditions say.

07Reporting and enforcement#

If you see a mark misused, or a credential claimed falsely, tell us at brand@iictp.org. We may ask the person to correct it, report it to the platform or employer concerned, mark a record, or take legal steps. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

08Asking permission#

For anything this page does not allow, write to brand@iictp.org with what you would like to do, where it will appear, and for how long. We aim to reply within 48 hours.
